✨ Quick fun highlight! Our friends & AST partner @ion_art_atx have their one-of-a-kind art adventure open Nov. 8–9 & 14–16: Surreal Luck, a neon festival with 100+ neon sculptures at Willie Nelson's Luck Ranch.

If you haven't been to one of their Surreal experiences, it's a must—one of the most beautiful events in the world, mark our words—some of the best pics we've ever taken and the art is for sale too (we WILL own a neon one day). We stopped by for a sneak peak during their build and basically, get tix @surrealionart 🎫

💖 Speaking of luck, we’re lucky to have Ion as a friend and partner for the Austin Studio Tour—they made a world of difference to us as we hit the ground running to give the Tour new life. They printed double-signage for every Artist, Art Group & Host on the Tour! You'll see the signs sprinkled around town, guiding you into the many magical locations.

Today On How It's Made: 🪧 Custom Wayfinding Signage, 📚 Official 2025 Guidebook, 🚚 Shipping & Delivery.

We're so thankful to have local heroes @ion_art_atx printing our beautiful wayfinding signs, each customized with the artists' names and artwork this year! We hope they catch your attention 👀

Props to @slategroup in Lubbock for knocking the print job out of the park with 10,000 copies of the official 2025 Guidebook. No small task! But we knew they'd come through since they printed our magazines beautifully over the last few years.

It was a red-eye pickup in Abilene so much love to the team and @muralsupplyco for coming together for the assembly line chain to get all of this into our studio lobby, ready for pickup!

Everything is coming together for November 8-9 & 15-16✌️

😯 After a million hours sorting through some of the best art we've ever seen, we're proud to premiere our Austin Studio Tour Guidebook!

As we stepped into the leadership role, the #1 question you kept asking was "are you still going to print a book of the artists?" If you know us, you know our roots are in print—obviously we had to do it.

It's a combo of inspiration: half AST Catalog, half Almost Real Things Magazine and half compilation of what we've wanted to see after participating in the Tour for nearly ten years.

Our focus? Functionality.
✨ We created this to be your pocket guide—something to carry with you on the go as you explore the hundreds of locations and featured artists.
✨ Every listing has a description, including artists statements, so you can hear from everyone directly.
✨ We also included Curated Tours to follow and articles with longstanding Austin businesses that we admire.
✨ There is even a fold-out map! 🗺️

✏️ The wonderfully talented @child_appetite designed the cover, entitled “You are Always Welcome in our Playground.” She illustrated so many details and easter eggs, we challenge you to find them all in our 'I Spy' game.

📚 The final upgrade—increasing the distribution five-fold to 10,000 copies. We want everyone to have the opportunity to have this Guidebook to use in November, and year-round. We're distributing these far and wide, but as always, we can mail one straight to you (details on the website soon!)

💖 It's time to shine a light on the immensely talented creators whom we are so lucky to call our neighbors. Our Guidebook is basically the holy grail 🏆 So excited to get one to you!

Still daydreaming about our trip to Morelia for the @hartoarte.fiau art festival 🇲🇽✨

We've been looking forward to this since March, when the incredible Ana from @color_amexico invited us to collaborate with artist @alesi.baeza for her tactile exhibition. We were grateful to share our experience from Touch the Art and create video & audio components to make the show even more accessible!

More of this is what we all need. Researching and learning from other artists & art organizers on how they build creative communities is a gift 💫

The collaboration continues! We're hosting @motick & @chous_chouz from @color_amexico in our gallery on Nov 22nd!
