Join us on Saturday, November 8th, at 5:30pm for a conversation with New York-based artist David Ellis and Andrée Bober, founding director and curator of Landmarks, where we will have a special viewing of ‘Animal’. This motion painting commissioned by Landmarks has engaged local audiences for the past 15 years. Two exhibitions in one venue: >David Ellis distills the ideas of motion, sound, and rhythm into the still surface of a painting. On view is a collection of recent drawings that flow like notes in a symphony. >Field State Collective are artists who share an interest in open collaborative structures and the ideas they generate. On view are HEXAGLYPHS, abstract characters that draw from ancient symbolic languages and speculative futures.
