Painting
I paint representationally and abstractly. My sculptures are abstract. Where I have lived (78704, LA, London and Johannesburg, South Africa) influences my work. I’m inspired by the natural world and seemingly disparate things. How their movement and connectedness point to an order and relationship in the universe. My paintings represent these resemblances: trees turn into roots becoming soil which turns into mycelia; branches lift towards air to sky to solar systems; a brain’s neural pathways constantly moving throughout a body causing speech, movement, silent communication, appreciation of beauty.
