Randall Soileau – Randall’s Stained Glass Studio

Design
Following a career in ballet, choreography and as artistic director of Austin Contemporary Ballet, I renewed my love of creating stained glass art when I dedicated my studio behind my home in 2016. I create both two and three dimensional art in stained glass. My commissions are in homes throughout Austin, the US and even New Zealand. My work includes Austin and Texas landscapes, flora and fauna, and dancers in glass. Some of my Austin centric designs are stained glass Mexican Freetail Bat mobiles. I create box lamps, lamp shades, stained glass shadow boxes as well as windows.

What TO expect

Randall’s Stained Glass Studio will be offering demonstrations of glass cutting and assembly of stained glass windows for our visitors. The lead came and copper foil techniques will be discussed. The front and back porches of the historic Adkins-Tharp Home is our gallery space exhibiting beautiful stained glass windows, bat mobiles and lamps created in the studio. Mr. Soileau’s original works depict Austin and Texas landscapes, flora and fauna, as well as ballet dancers from his former career as a dancer, teacher and choreographer.
