What do I paint? What I feel like that morning. I paint a wide variety of subjects, best known for my paintings of children’s book subjects like Simple Simon and Puss in Boots, and also portraits of people and animals. The years I spent at my mother’s ancient home in Cornwall, England, had a great effect on my work. I have been an exhibiting artist and painting teacher (The Contemporary) for many years in Austin. I studied in Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, before working with Bob Levers at the U. of Texas.
