I’m a Social Realist painter, fascinated by the influence of our surroundings and actions upon each other, whether by architecture, lighting, geography or human behaviors. My work portrays slices of life in Central Texas, but my scenes resonate with everyday American experiences. For me, capturing an authentic sense of place means finding feeling in the smallest details. I am currently working on several new works featuring Luby’s, burglar bars on suburban homes and sweet bungalows with rainbow flags.
