I work in film and television and do mixed media work on rice paper. My brother, Joshua (his Japanese calligraph or kanji, has shown in the Tokyo Met many times) sends me his practice work which I layer in with my figure paintings, designs and pen drawings. As I paste each layer, the rice paper becomes transparent allowing the work underneath to come through. This is my practice of letting go of a specific outcome and learning to trust the piece and I will find our way.
