Ceramics
I am a Kintsugi repair specialist trained in Kyoto, Japan. This traditional art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer and gold is a technique that highlights cracks rather than concealing them. I’m inspired by the Kintsugi philosophy of transforming a broken object into something unique and beautiful, celebrating its history and flaws as a symbol of resilience and beauty in imperfection. My work is functional art designed to be used daily and passed down for generations. Between teaching Kintsugi classes and commissioned repairs, I’m experimenting with bold lacquer colors on traditional pottery.

What TO expect

We’re popping up in JDI, a creative agency in the heart of Springdale General. There’s plenty of space to gather and refuel (with refreshments provided) while meeting the other artists set up throughout the building. Outside JDI’s walls, explore the many other studio stops also in Springdale General, grab a coffee at Cafe Medici or enjoy a bite at one of the restaurants next door.
