Painting
Growing up between Mexico and the United States, I explore bicultural identity through abstraction. My work blends organic textures with geometric forms to capture the tension between chaos and order. This personal exploration extends to my materials; I create handmade paints from pigments selected for their unique origins, including cochineal from Mexico, to ground the work in tradition. These compositions invite viewers to consider the fluidity of identity and reflect on their own heritage and transformation.

What TO expect

For Weekend One, find me at Canopy, a sprawling creative complex housed in a redeveloped East Austin warehouse. As a central hub of artist studios and galleries, it offers a chance to see my work while immersing yourself in the active, collective energy of the Austin art community. For Weekend Two, my tour continues at The Cathedral, a stunning 1930s church transformed into a woman-owned art space. With its soaring ceilings and mission to amplify creative voices, it offers a serene and inspirational setting to connect with the work on a deeper level.
