My current work centers on painting faces, focusing not on specific individuals but on the universality of human expression. I resist using the term ‘portrait,’ as these works are not necessarily meant to depict particular people. Through these paintings, I strive to create universal icons that resonate with the human experience. I use ancient myths, tarot cards and other sources to inspire the work.
