Katie Ann Clay

Ceramics
I first fell in love with clay as a therapeutic outlet and like to call myself a “mud enthusiast.” Inspired by my desert roots, my work reflects wide-open landscapes with playful doodles and folk-art details. These designs shape the workshops I lead, where participants create customized versions of my pieces. My hope is that each person not only enjoys the grounding process of working with clay, but also leaves with a piece they’re truly proud of: a functional or decorative heirloom. At its core, my practice is about building community, slowing down and celebrating the joy of making.
