Pine needle coiling is an ancient art dating back thousands of years. The art of our ancestors was decidely function over form, but today for many coilers, including me, it is the other way around. My pine needle adventure began in 2021 with a walk in the piney woods of East Texas. With each basket I begin with a plan, but the needles have a mind of their own and tell me what they want to become.
