I’m an oil painter with 20 years of experience, who specializes in surreal figure paintings. My current series, Immersion, consists of several large-scale paintings. Each painting is of a subject from a black and white photo from different eras in time. The paintings are mosaics made up of fantastical colors and creatures. While painting, I immerse myself in the stories that have shaped the subject matter that I am painting, as I paint. This series is a testament to the enduring power of nature, history and the interconnectedness of all things.
