I consider myself a naive painter in that I have never received any formal education or training in art. My art is characterized by a childlike simplicity in vision and my paintings often depict images of people, animals or places that only exist in my imagination. However, sometimes my art ends up taking on a critical view of social and cultural issues such as social inequalities or simply the opposite, images of people who seem unable to comprehend the world around them and live in a world of their choice. I take inspiration from my cultural heritage as well as my experiences in the U.S.
