Drawing
I was born in New Mexico in 1947 and lived on a Route 66 trading post. Visits to western movie sets on the Navajo Reservation inspired a dream of designing forts. In 1963, we moved to Texas, where I earned a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Houston, learning pencil drafting, my first step toward movie set design. My break came in 1988 on Lonesome Dove (Emmy-nominated). Soon after, I designed a fort on Son of the Morning Star. Among over fifty productions are the cult films Dazed and Confused, Empire Records and Idiocracy. I retired in 2016 and now sell archival prints of my work.
