My work is rooted in a lifelong love of clay that continues to feel both timeless and deeply human. I’m inspired by the natural world, by the beauty and utility of everyday objects and by the textures, colors and forms I’ve encountered while living in Asia, South America and traveling widely. Using mid-fire and high-fire clays, I combine wheel throwing, large coils and slabs to create pieces that bring the outside world in. I’m now scaling towards large centerpiece bowls, planters, glowing lamps and even ceramic tables—functional works of art that transform spaces.
