With a background in art and architecture, I approach my work by combining precision and craft to create something tangible yet poetic. While geometry, light and shadow all play an important role in architecture as well as in creating small objects as in jewelry, crafting by hand-tools is as important. I always begin with a flat piece of material, mainly sterling silver and ask myself how to make a form with minimal cutting to minimize waste. I use folding, creasing, pinching, crimping as the starting point and focus of my design. Every piece is individually formed, no two pieces are the same.
