I received his first “real” camera at age 17—a gift I initially dismissed as the worst Christmas present ever (I had been hoping for a turntable). Years later, that single lens reflex camera became an indispensable tool in my journey as a documentary photographer, capturing beauty first on film and now digitally. As a visual artist, I am drawn to the authenticity of my subjects, whatever catches my eye, wherever they may be found. My work has been featured in the Austin Studio Tour since 2016.
