Painting
I create art in a style I call halftonism. Halftones are a mechanical process used in commercial printing, in which a repeating on/off pattern of varying size is used to produce the illusion of gradients from far away. I make use of this artistically by scaling up the pattern so that it is large enough to be expressive in itself. I have developed my take on halftones over the last 20 years and have learned to incorporate complex patterns and full color to the halftone lines in both my murals and gallery art.
