🖼️ Known for their large-scale urban work and signature graphic styles, @chous_chouz and @motick present an exhibition of vibrant murals, striking sculptures, bold illustrations and paintings.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Julio Ávalos, known as Chous, is a graphic designer and urban artist with over 23 years of experience specializing in large-scale illustration, murals, and digital art.

Motick is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans illustration, sculpture, concept design, and muralism; reflecting a deep appreciation for aesthetics in all its forms—especially typography and graffiti.

"Graffiti and illustration coexist within the same universe of human expression.

In modern times, we face an increasingly fleeting aesthetic consumption.

Our graphic training and our sense of aesthetics are nourished by hundreds of influences, both ancient and contemporary. There are so many possibilities that, at times, they overwhelm us and make it difficult to discern what is “right” or “wrong.” In our case, we choose to turn our gaze toward the beauty of simplicity within our own styles.

Our proposal seeks nothing more than to reveal itself and coexist, naturally, in this world full of chaos."

💖 Every year this event reinforces our love for Austin, so thank you for being a part of its pivotal 23rd year, and the biggest yet, with our @almostrealthings team in the driver's seat.

🥹 It's truly a dream to live in a place where thoughtful and brilliant and supportive and kind people are working together to foster a culture that understands the value of creativity and community.
