I am a Texas-based figurative painter whose large-scale portraits reclaim the portrayal of women in visual culture. Challenging stereotypes, my work offers alternatives to passive depictions found in art history and media, inviting viewers to reconsider gender and power. Exhibited nationally and internationally, my paintings are in collections including the Booth Western Art Museum, Google Headquarters and Prentice Women’s Hospital. I hold an MFA from UT Austin and is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University.
